Meet the Niwot Ridge LTER Limnology Team

Image shows (from left to right) research technician, AJ Lodge, REU student Sammy Yevak, and UROP students Emma Ordemann and Annika Cobb at Lake Albion. This is a subalpine lake in the Green Lakes Valley, where along with the lead technician, Kelly Loria, they monitor water quality along a chain of Lakes that contribute 40% of Boulder's water supply. These lakes are a part of Niwot Ridge Long Term Ecological Research Program, which has been monitoring these environments for over the last 30 years to assess how a warming climate and increased nutrient deposition are changing alpine environments.
