I’m approaching my 4th and final year at University of Colorado Boulder! I’m majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology with minors in geology and atmospheric/oceanic sciences. Last summer I worked on the sampling team for the Johnson Lab’s ongoing alpine lakes research. After taking several field courses in tropical biology and ecology, I’ve become particularly interested in the human-nature interaction in the tropics, and the power and importance of environmental education in the global south. This summer I’m conducting research in the Johnson Lab for my undergraduate honors thesis. I’m exploring the poorly understood relationship between an isopod ectoparasite and its host fish (Atlantic menhaden) in the coastal marshes of South Carolina. In my free time I enjoy photography, riding my mountain bike, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors!
